A Tea-cup candle for Mom

This lovely china cup has now got a new use. I made a Lemon Merangue Pie scented candle for a Christmas gift for someone's Mom. Mmm! it smells so good!

I bought the Teacup in a junk shop for very little and inside on the rim it's got 'Mother' written n Gold. All tied up with pink net and bow ready to go on sale.

Wooden Gifts.

Hello, I have been making these few little wooden Fridge Magnets/Key holders for gifts. These two are little houses with wooden fabric covered birds attached.

Another couple of hearts to hold notes on the fridge.

A key ring holder with extra long ribbon to hang from your bag so you can locate the keys with ease.

Papercraft Planet.Birthday Card Challenge

A challenge set by Papercraft Planet to celebrate Susanna's Birthday. I started my project with this old cardboard box.

I had in mind to make a shadow box.

I covered it all over with the pink digi paper Cuddly Buddly Cottage Rose collection, then I tore up some vintage image backing paper and decoupaged it onto various parts of the frame. Next I started to add my Tim Holts Tailors Dummy (all spruced up) and filled my shadow box with buttons etc and an image of a vintage sewing machine from Graphics Fairy

Wishing Susanna a Very Happy Birthday and Many More.

Cardboard Challenge Vintage Container

Cardboard Challenge I  began with these two empty rolls, one smaller than the other so I could use one for a lid.

I then covered the large roll with vintage ad. papers for ladies dresses, keeping in the sewing theme.

Some lace and buttons etc added to the lid of the container.

I can now pack it full of usefull things to give to someone special As you can see I cut down the smaller roll to make the lid and decorated with a large pin and various beads.

Elegant Shoe card

This card is a one made with a template and turorial from Artful Affirmations The little shoe is so elegant and French looking I just had to try it out.
I am taking a break from making  Wedding invitations for an order for the Febuary 2012 and March 2012 so my room is set up like a conveyor belt. I needed a distraction for a while. I love shoes and cant resist any templates for them. Pop over there and see the fab shoes Terri has made.

just a note 2

Thankyou for the feedback Martha & Lisa ,I hope I have resolved my problem. I will keep all crossed as this is a learning curve for me LOL. Hugs Vee. x

Just a little note.

Hi Everyone. I am having trouble commenting on blogs and receiving comments on blogs. Is anyone else having the same trouble?
Not sure the reasons behind this. If my comments are getting through could some-one send me an email please.
Many thanks Hugs Vee.

Christmas Poinsettia for CR84FN40 Colour Challenge

An unusual colour combo for Christmas but I think it works. This card is for the CR84FN40 color challenge

The brown velvet ribbon sets off the Red Poinsettia. I used the Penny Black Christmas Star stamp twice and cut out a few different leaves to give it a 3D effect. Underneath barely visible I have included a large skeleton leaf.

Notebook

A vintage Image from Vintage Moth this time. She is so beautiful and seems happy in her work. I used digi paper that has an almost realistic texture of roses to back the book and as usual I used Tim Holts distress ink for the edges and corners to give it that aged look.

Inside I had to use this image from
Graphics Fairy Love it!  and this time I put the pencil inside the notebook.

Baby Boy Shoe Exploding box.

A new baby boy shoe in a box.

All around the sides are Nursery rhymes and a little boy greeting.

Inside the tiny book is a "Once upon a time" story. I tied a tiny Baby Bottle charm onto the ribbon.

A little blurred this pic. but I wanted to show three tiny balloons that will pop up as the box is opened.

The box is closed up and ready to have the name of the little boy added to the lid.
