Galvanised tin bucket facelift!!

A humble tin bucket from the garden shed. Poor old thing needs a makeover!!

Using an image from Graphics Fairy
I printed it off onto brown wrapping paper then distressed the edges and Modge-Podged it onto my bucket. I now have a lovely container for my silk flowers I use for my wedding post boxes. I can also use it when I am displaying stuff on my sale table, very vintage looking and I did it in next to no time. Many thanks to Graphics Fairy for supplying yet again georgous images.

Thankyou Card

A lovely thankyou card. I have a lot of little off-cuts in my stash, as am sure you all have. I received a lovely bottle of wine, quite out of the blue last week and had to send a thankyou so this little card was born. I backed the rose print paper onto mirror card and just popped on a punchout butterfly and a little thankyou flag. Sorry I have been absent for a while, and maybe I will be taking another  short break again as our English weather is too good to miss Lol.... Bye for now. Hugs Vee x

Wedding Package

I was asked to make a wedding package for a friends daughter last year. She wanted something a little different from the plain cards etc. I had made these envelope cards before and she loved the idea.
Made in Ivory hammer card and using the Martha Stewart lace edge punch I put this along the edge of the envelope and then decorated with Ivory flowers and some of my favourite seam binding ribbon. The large one was for the daytime invite and held all the information on 4 parchment cards.
The smaller version was the evening invite, and the little card is the place card for the guests.

This is the Wedding post box I made for her reception to keep all the guest's cards and monetry gifts safe and sound. Afterwards she can use it as a lovely keepsake box for her wedding memories. If you look closely at the top of the box you can just make out a little "peg bride & groom" standing holding each other close. I added this for a bit of fun, but this is not my idea.... I got it from Pinterest !!

Altered Book Clock

A project I have been working on, on and off, for a while. I love old books that have been useful in their day but are a little bit worse for wear. I started out to make a secret box but then decided to turn this into a clock.
First thing was to glue all the pages together with Modge Podge. That done, next was to hollow out the inside of the book and decorate with lovely vintage paper.

I covered the front book cover with a lovely vintage paper and then coated this with Modge Podge to seal it. I made a little bookmark to hang over the front just for fun.

Teacup Candles

Three tiny little china teacups found in a charity shop.
They make perfect gifts. I made little coasters for the cups to sit on with the safety
sticker on the reverse side. These ones I made with Peppermint fragrance and you can
imagine, the kitchen
smells lush at the moment LOL!

Dear Aunt All white Birthday card

I had this in mind for our dear Aunt who is 86 in May. The all white
theme was inpiration from Pinterest. An o-so-easy little card to put together when your busy
doing other things, (if your like me) I have millions of projects on the go at the same time. Guess
it's the way of all crafters! You can't see on the picture really, but I used Linen look card and embossed and cut a small square to frame then used a daisy punch and added some little gold pearls to the centre of each flower.

Wedding Card

I found this image on the internet of a Wedding ring with heart shadow.
I had to make another "Peg" bride and groom to pop on the front.
This came together in no time at all and just right for my Nephew and his partner who are tying the knot on Saturday 14th April.
Congrats to them both, they deserve a great day!!

Little Girls Chest of drawers card

Hello again.... I made this cute little "chest of drawers" for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday.
She loves her cats so I added a cute little cut-out that sits just inside the top drawer. A cheeky li'l mouse is "jumping"  up and down on the bottom of the drawers, looking like she is tormenting the ginger cat, Lol! These are so easy to make and decorate for any occasion.
I think I will make a grown up version the next time.
To get the illusion of legs, (as I dont possess spellbinders or any other cutting gadgets) I first punched out an opening at the bottom with a scallop square punch then took off the scallops at the top with my craft knife, but left the ones on the side.

Bye for now, I am off to continue with my Book project which I will post when its ready.

Vintage Daughter card

I used a lovely French Birth Certificate image I bought from here for a birthday card for Daughter.
I printed off a sentiment in different fonts and just added some lovely roses. I stamped a clock onto the certificate and embossed with gold powder, just barely visible and a little butterfly in black ink in the top left corner. A quick and easy card to put together.

Gone Fishing mans card

Using two great images from Graphics Fairy I put together this little card. Starting with navy card then an ice blue card mat. I had some book pages from another project I am currently working on, so used one on top of the ice blue. The fish images are stitched onto white card and a little tag with a brad is added to the bottom with the sentiment.
