A sign made for myself... a Shabby board with a cute sentiment.
I first painted the board ivory then the edges black. I applied some wax before I re-painted the ivory and then added the sentiment. Rubbed off the ivory around the edge to reveal the black. The effect I was looking for was a kind of metal background. Not sure if you think I achieved the look but.... hey! ho! I love it.
Then I sat down and had a glass of Chardonnay.. mmm nice one!
