Shabby tins

From this tin of pears I thought I would create a little shabby tin holder for my brushes....and here it is so quick and easy. I printed off the label courtesy of www.strawberrymommycakes.com .... Ate the contents of the tin (YUM with cream)
Next  I spray painted it with Heirloom White satin finish Painters Touch by RUST-OLEUM
Added a bit of vintage trim and there she is in all her glory lol!
Bys for now

Wine wall sign.

s
A sign made for myself... a Shabby board with a cute sentiment.
I first painted the board ivory then the edges black. I applied some wax before I re-painted the ivory and then added the sentiment. Rubbed off the ivory around the edge to reveal the black. The effect I was looking for was a kind of metal background. Not sure if you think I achieved the look but.... hey! ho! I love it.
Then I sat down and had a glass of Chardonnay.. mmm nice one!
Bye for now

Jimmy Choos Door sign

This is another sign I have been asked to make this week.

A bit of bling on the Chandelier and at the corners just to jazz it up a bit.
Not a lot to add to this only to say I hope the customer likes it.

Key Keeper

All the windows in our new home have these little keys. Well dont you always find they go missing....here is my idea.
Take an old key, spray with white paint then scratch it a bit to make it look vintagey (if that's a word) then hot glue some little flowers on and tie around the widndow key, hey presto, you have a lovely hanging decoration when the key is inserted.
This could be used also on vintage cards.

Shabby Chic makeover

Finding this poor worn out, battered, unloved old towel rail hiding in the backroom of a charity shop the other day, I just could not resist buying the pieces and taking them home to assemble and to at least have a go and try to give it a new lease of life......

Here it is... nothing feels nicer than a happy outcome. After a quick sanding down, I gave it a couple of coats of "off white" paint and distressed it somewhat to give it a Shabby Chic makeover . I will use this to hang my props for the craft fairs coming up soon.

Nice to have it around to hang guest towels on when needed. Ahh! don't you just love it when a plan comes together.

Shabby chic Hanging Peg note holder

A hanging Peg holder, handy for the notes etc anywhere in the home. This is a hessian covered board with vintage lace and little pegs. I have used rusty wire to hang it up with.
