Baby Girl gift "cupcake socks"

Hi there,

I think these little gifts are just the ticket.  Made with a tiny little  pair of socks, so cute to give a new mum and baby. Inexpensive too, but makes the gift look unique. Easy to do too. The little cupcake box is from Blackleaf Studios blog. I downloaded this freebie a long time ago, think maybe 2011 so not sure if it is still available. I may have to design a freebie template for you this coming week..... hold the phone lol! I will give it a whirl.

Faux Book Card.. Daughter's 30th Birthday

 1st layer of the inside.
1st layer of the outside cover
Hi there, I thought I would let
you see my latest Faux Book card I have made to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday in April.

I made this with thick card and covered this first with patterned paper on both sides..

Spine showing the added detail..

On the spine I reinforced it and then added some brads and raised up cardboard strips to give some interest.

Tissue

I used the top layer of this serviette to decorate.
The tissue is added and looks like crinkled
leather when dry.

Reinforced spine
Inside the book covered with tissue and the 1st layer shows through ..

School Children are urged to... Get on Your Bike

A Bikers Breakfast was held at the school to encourage children to use pedal power, instead of their parent's driving them there, to boost fitness.
The school has joined forces with Sustrans to show the benefits of using alternate healthier modes of travel.
Good Luck!

School In the News... Attempts to boost funds for the deaf

The children from my granddaughter's school, ages 4yr to 11 yrs, joined over 1.000 schools all over the country to take part in a fundraising sing-along to help the deaf!
They used singandsign to to boost the funds to aid every deaf person in the land. Also, this event, now in it's 3rd yr, is the holder of the Guinness Book of Records for the worlds largest singing and signing event in the world with 114,277 people taking part in 2012.

Well Done!

School Scrapbook Page

After the 2012 Olympics, my granddaughter's school decided to have the students try their hand (literally) at Volleyball.

I decided, after receiving the newspaper cutting, the background should be old newspaper print. After a long and exhausting search, I discovered this wonderful blog and lo and behold, she had the lovely freebie I have used on my page. "Thank you Inka for that."

I copied and pasted the article onto an A4 page and added logo's, pics etc to fill up the empty parts to give it more interest. I also added the 3D Union flag and photo to the bottom to give some dimension.  These pages are A3 so are quite large to fill, however I think this looks fine now.
Bye for now.
