Chritening card & Gift Bracelet

An Ivory card for a little girl's Christening day. I used Satin ribbon and added a little buckle. A simple design with Gold Font.

I found this poem on the internet and thought it was so cute. I hand made a little soft bracelet to tie around her wrist on her special day.

Then I had to make a Boutonniere for a little boy's Christening day too. A similar poem suited for him.

Aunt Box card

I have made this cute little box card for my Aunt who is 86 in May.

She loves yellow roses so thought I might make this box card from a template by Rica's Haven
She gives all the measurements to make this cute card so pop along to her blog.

I added some printed pages to the inside of the box sides as I wanted it mainly to be white with a touch of vintage. Added a lace border on two sides just visible.

By for now Hugs Vee xx

School Scrapbook page

This is my Granddaughter's School Scrapbook page I have been asked to do.
Last year the Head charged me with putting together a school scrapbook to keep safe all the achievements the children and indeed the whole school have reached.

This page was dedicated to the Centenary Celebrations held in school to look back over the past ten decades.

All the younger children were dressed in the present decade, and the older ones dressed in a decade  from when the school was first opened. They then all "buddied" up together to have a history lesson covering huge events such as the sinking of the Titanic, the launch of silent movies, to music of the '20s.
The Head said later, he thought this event had sparked a greater interest in history. The children were actually asking more about historic events which can only be a good thing.
Past pupils were all invited to join in too, the oldest being 76 yrs old.

Well done all who participated.
Bye for now.

Mothers Day gifts

A little shadow box picture with a lovely verse and some fabric roses to decorate...Ideal for Mother's Day
Wooden Heart with small hang tag heart with the verse and vintage with Tim Holts inks.
Another more modern style for the younger Mother out there who loves animal print. This time the wooden heart is popped on top with a tiny wooden heart with the initial M which can be done with the mother's initial if you wanted to..

Bye for now everyone..

Valentine

Two little gifts all read ready for Valentine's
The first is a shadow box picture with French letter background with the red word LOVE imprinted on top.
Next is a little padded heart door hanging with an image from Graphics Fairy printed directly on to the fabric. Then a small wooden heart tag tied up with jute string.
I have been so long away from my blog I feel I have been neglecting things so bad....to tell the truth I had been so busy on the run up to Christmas and then spent 6 weeks with our daughter and hubby and little granddaughter  in Virginia to be there for the birth of their little bundle of joy "Jaxen Jarad" who arrived 30mins before we reached the hospital just in time for a few cuddles. Oh he is soooo sweet and the family is now complete............nope no more grandchildren from those two lol!
Then on our return I have been working on some goodies for the next event which will be Valentine's and then for us in the UK Mothers day in March.
Hope you like my little bitty things.
Bye for now.

Wall signs

Hello again...long time since I posted but have been too busy to stop by this month.
I had to visit our elderly Aunt in London as she was to have a cataract removed and as she is blind in the other eye someone needed to be there with her in case!
Then I have been inundated with orders for Christmas wall hangings etc. so have been a busy bee..
This is a special order for my neighbour. She wanted it done for Tuesday so it was a bit of a rush job....think it turned out ok and she loved it so I am a happy camper.
I painted the wooden block first with white then edged around in burnt umber and as I had found this wood look backing paper I thought I would give it a whirl. I think it does the job very well.

Next on the list of special orders was a Weight Watcher's sign with little blackboard hearts to record the weeks achievement's down.

Right now I am busy painting more boards as the Christmas list is growing and as I am off to the States in 4weeks time till New Year, I have to get all ready.
Bye for now.

Little chalk board heart wall hanging

Hi everyone...been busy, busy, busy, making wooden Christmas wall plaques this week.
This one has a wooden heart blackboard to write on to countdown the days to Christmas.
These have proved so popular I can't keep up with the demand, besides my other orders.

I need an apprentice haha!
Well back to task in hand. Bye for now.
