Land of Liberty Challenge Lisa Somerville

For my dear Son-in-Law. A quick card made for his up and coming birthday. Easy as pie, this card flew out with a little flag I had in my stash from my visit to see them all just after Christmas this year. I got the digi papers from a site called No Reimer Reason.
This fitted in nicely for this challenge

40th Celebration Glass

Celebrate a 40th Birthday/ Wedding Anniversary with this glass made from acetate.Although using mirror card makes it  virtually impossible to photograph,  I think I made it after about 6 attempts without seeing my image on the card at the back of the glass.

Sympathy Book

This card was the most difficult card for me, not making it, but having to make it for a friend who's husband passed away yesterday. He was only diagnosed 3 weeks ago with Cancer of the Liver. He will be sorely missed.

Its a book card, which I think lends itself to this sad occasion. I must say I shed more tears making this card as we have know the couple for at least 45yrs.

Lillie's seem to be the flower associated with Sympathy so that is the way I went for this card. The paper I used was Laura Ashley. I love her vintage style.   If you like the book card, the turorial is here
God Bless Matty.

Allsorts Challenge Flowers & Swirls

Haute Tote handbag template found here I made this for the allsortschallenge. This week its Flowers & swirls. I love this template so thought it would be nice to have a flower with swirls instead of leaves, added to the little purse  hanging from the strap.

Side view. Sorry about these pictures, they aren't too clear. I need a new camera.

Instead of putting the pocket on the inside of the bag, I chose to use it outside to hold the greetings card.

Wedding Box

A pretty wedding box card that has a curved background making the bouquet pop out.

Baby keepsake gift box

A new baby girl gift box with a minature shoe on top. I made a cute little ABC book with the words, "Once upon a time there was the cutest little girl born to wonderful parents" on the pages. This box was made for the Duo Challenge #9 using the free template provided by the host.

A little silver lock and key is ready to "open the box". I added large pearls on the bottom to use as little legs to lift the box up and make it stand out more. It has its own little card and is ready for a gift for the new baby. Afterward the baby's first tooth or any little momento can be stored inside.
