Galvanised tin bucket facelift!!

A humble tin bucket from the garden shed. Poor old thing needs a makeover!!

Using an image from Graphics Fairy
I printed it off onto brown wrapping paper then distressed the edges and Modge-Podged it onto my bucket. I now have a lovely container for my silk flowers I use for my wedding post boxes. I can also use it when I am displaying stuff on my sale table, very vintage looking and I did it in next to no time. Many thanks to Graphics Fairy for supplying yet again georgous images.

Thankyou Card

A lovely thankyou card. I have a lot of little off-cuts in my stash, as am sure you all have. I received a lovely bottle of wine, quite out of the blue last week and had to send a thankyou so this little card was born. I backed the rose print paper onto mirror card and just popped on a punchout butterfly and a little thankyou flag. Sorry I have been absent for a while, and maybe I will be taking another  short break again as our English weather is too good to miss Lol.... Bye for now. Hugs Vee x

Wedding Package

I was asked to make a wedding package for a friends daughter last year. She wanted something a little different from the plain cards etc. I had made these envelope cards before and she loved the idea.
Made in Ivory hammer card and using the Martha Stewart lace edge punch I put this along the edge of the envelope and then decorated with Ivory flowers and some of my favourite seam binding ribbon. The large one was for the daytime invite and held all the information on 4 parchment cards.
The smaller version was the evening invite, and the little card is the place card for the guests.

This is the Wedding post box I made for her reception to keep all the guest's cards and monetry gifts safe and sound. Afterwards she can use it as a lovely keepsake box for her wedding memories. If you look closely at the top of the box you can just make out a little "peg bride & groom" standing holding each other close. I added this for a bit of fun, but this is not my idea.... I got it from Pinterest !!

Altered Book Clock

A project I have been working on, on and off, for a while. I love old books that have been useful in their day but are a little bit worse for wear. I started out to make a secret box but then decided to turn this into a clock.
First thing was to glue all the pages together with Modge Podge. That done, next was to hollow out the inside of the book and decorate with lovely vintage paper.

I covered the front book cover with a lovely vintage paper and then coated this with Modge Podge to seal it. I made a little bookmark to hang over the front just for fun.
