Mans Vintage Autograph Book Card

Men's Cards!! What a nightmare! If you are like me, I have trouble thinking up a style.
Well I came across this lovely place here and found me this image of an old Autograph Book and all the pages too. So my Son-in-law has a birthday Thursday and he likes anything vintage, collecting old postcards, so I had a light -bulb moment and made him this. Tagged on a cute little ticket and there it is in next to no time.

Re-cycled CD Clock

I had in mind to make some use of all the wasted CD's my DLH had in his waste bin. As ever I hate to throw good things away! So popped onto Pinterest and lo and behold found the very thing.
The image cames from  Here
Pop over and see her lovely blog.

Not so handsome beginnings!
I will be making a few of these to raffle off at a charity event we are holding in late March in aid of the Motor Neurone Society. One of our lovely friends died last year, after suffering for 3 yrs. The awfull thing with this desease is the brain is not affected, while the body slowly closes down.  No-one should have to suffer and illness like this.
RIP Sylvia

Many thanks for the lovely images from the above mentioned blog. Hugs Vee xx

Sweet Memories Box

This is what I call "A happy accident"

I started out making a white covered box for a wedding.
I made a mistake and so had to improvise. I decoupaged the whole "accident!" with torn book pages and made some paper flowers and a couple of coffee filter roses and then also added a wooden tag covered in vintage paper and now can safely sell it on as a vintage memories keepsake box.
Now where was I ? .................

Bad Hair day Prim Angel

Let me introduce Grace.......
A little Prim Angel unfortunately is having a "Bad Hair Day" Lol!  I was supposed to use wool for her hair but could only get my hands on this string, bless her. I used rusty wire for her halo and  added a tiny button trim to pretty it up.  I love her anyway.

Alter It! Bloggers Challenge

An altered Roll in all it's glory! I made a Hollywood film roll for my daughter.
She loves the elegance of Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn so I thought she would like this for her birthday.
First I covered the roll with a digi paper with a vintage looking print of cream roses on green background. Then punched out my film roll edges from black card and then added the photo's I had from stock and a little verse. Then I stuck the black card onto the prepared roll. Then it was ready to decorate.

I made two flowers using different techniques and added  these to the top of the roll and also added some Prima flowers to the back to add interest.

This is how it all began. Oh! what a transformation haha!

Special Birthday Card for Friend

A special birthday envelope card for 65th
Hand-made flowers in blue and green for the box and the envelope card. These are made by cutting circles, then cutting a spiral and finally, winding the spiral to form the flower. The leaves are made using my Martha Stewart punch and the lace edging is also from a Martha Stewart edge punch.

Inside I tucked the verse stuck onto the same card I made the flowers from just to co-ordinate.
